If you are going to make money in an online venture, you are going to need a couple of things for sure. You are going to have to build a subscriber list, and you will also need to accumulate some type of online real estate. If you are going to be able to show off your products and services, you are going to have to have a website. If you want to be able to control and edit your content, that website should be a blog. I will cover some key reasons that you want to use a blog as a cornerstone of your personal online real estate.
Once you have picked a product, and have a website or blog, you need to find people to sell it to. This means getting your website or blog out in the marketplace where people can find it.
It is easy to set up- Getting a blog up is much easier than learning how to build a website and upload it to your server. This fact will allow you to get a website up in a matter of days or hours depending on your current skills. There is no value to your online real estate until it is up and alive on the internet. The fact that you can get a site up this quickly allows you to get your business up and running very quickly. A blog also allows you to start very small and simple and then make improvements along the way. The key is to get your site online as soon as possible. This allows you to start developing a readership very quickly and at a very low cost.
Follow my blog ARE MAGNETS FOR SEARCH ENGINES: Go on, get on to Google and, whatever topic you search, you’ll inevitably see that the search engines have thrown up a number of blogs in the top ten results. This is because blogs are constantly showing fresh, new and key word friendly content just like your web pages should; that’s a Blog’s very reason for being. Imagine the value to you of having your own Blog pop in the top end of search results. The ubiquitous search engines clamor to highlight fresh, appropriate content – they love it. Constantly re-newed and freshened blogs leave stale, ageing (and rarely updated) web sites for dead.
Make a plan and put it in writing. We decided who was in control of what, sort of a damage control action plan. Even if the guy who was in control of online reviews had to get with another manager before making a response, there was a plan so that we could respond quickly. It’s too much to think the owner can keep a watch on everything. So delegate that responsibility to one or more managers so that you can make a response fast. We had one guy in charge of online reputation, and another in control of offline reputation.
The more online blogs that you own, the more bait you can throw into the ocean. By having many blogs you can try to build each up to the point where it is making $1 – $20 a day. This is much more easily achievable than building one super blog and expecting it to the same.
You can also make money online by blogging by placing some Google Ads on your blogs. You get paid each time your audience clicks on the ads. You get paid when someone clicks on the ads. This is an auto-pilot income as you do not need to do any work for you to get paid.
Do not talk about sex openly or tease for you never know who is watching. Keep your personal information to yourself. If you are going to meet with someone on line you really like, do it with a group in a public place. Being a social butterfly is not a bad thing you just have to be careful of what you post and who you are chatting with. Parents please remember to let them know your door is always open and that you promise to listen and not yell!
