Why Every Employee Needs A Home Based Business

It is never too late to switch careers and have a career that you have the passion, desire, and ambition for. More and more Canadians are going back to school to receive more education and training. The job market in Canada is getting more competitive by the day.

Network. Network at church, at school, at the baseball game, at you son/daughter baseball game, at the grocery store, wherever and whenever you can. You can not be shy….. When you meet someone, use something like, “How are you?” Offer your best smile and look people eye-to-eye. If appropriate, extend a handshake. Do not give a soft handshake. Put some gusto with the handshake. Then, “I’m looking for a new opportunity. (And don’t be afraid to use a statistic)… ‘Did you know that since the economic recovery began in late 2009, there are 365,000 fewer Jobs?’ And I am still on the hunt for a new opportunity.” Here’s my business card.

A claim could be made against you if you accidentally crack a window in a property you are working on. If the window is expensive and you weren’t insured you might have to pay out a significant amount which could mean your business will struggle financially.

One of the more popular ways to save money is to invest your money in Education plans. In such plans, you will be doing regular deposit of money. There is an incubation time before the money gets used. Therefore, if you withdraw the money prematurely, you will suffer big fines. This makes the plan effective since as much as possible, you would want to save the money and restrict use of the funds until it is ready to be used for the college fund of your kids.

Don’t get me wrong, G.I. Joe is kids stuff but this film makes zero attempt to be serious or throw us adults a bone or two. “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” does manage to be a great movie if you can turn off your brain for an hour and a half and just watch the pretty pictures on the screen. However, I would certainly be interested in seeing a G.I. Joe film done from a perspective that is a tad more serious and by a director who has had less caffeine. “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” deserves this backseat at number 9 on the countdown for the Top Action Movies of 2009.

Generate dividend or interest income. If you already have some money in savings, consider investing that money in dividend-generating stocks. For example, REITs, also known as real estate investment trusts, are high dividend generating stocks that pay out an average of 10%/year. If stock investment is too risky for you, place some of your savings into a CD (certificate of deposit) instead, where it will earn anywhere from 1.5-3%/year.

If you are not comfortable with the idea of buying overruns, that’s all right. There are many more ways you can pay only 20% of the original price tag on those garage floor tiles.
